Of the best hotels in Da Nang, Four Points by Sheraton Danang is the top pick for most visitors, across the road from My Khe Beach at 118-120 Vo Nguyen Giap and about 15 to 20 minutes from the airport.
Pick My Khe for beach days, the Han River for one or two nights of food and city walks, and Son Tra riverside for views and large pools. Resorts are in the best resorts in Da Nang guide, and monthly stays in Da Nang apartments and Airbnb.

Beach hotels
Best for first visits, couples and beach days
My Khe and An Thuong
Hotel towers on the beach road, with the An Thuong lanes of cafes and small hotels behind them.
My Khe is the long city beach on the east side of the Han River, and Vo Nguyen Giap is the beach road that runs along it. Most of the city's beach hotels are towers on this road, so the sand is across the street rather than at the door. Behind them, the An Thuong lanes hold hostels, small hotels, cafes and bars aimed at foreign visitors. The Dragon Bridge is about 10 minutes by Grab, and the airport around 15 to 20 minutes. This area suits first visits, couples and anyone who wants a swim before breakfast. The trade-offs are traffic on the beach road, new towers going up and a resort-strip feel with little local character. The north end, near Son Tra, is quieter than the stretch around An Thuong.

City hotels
Best for short stays, food and the Dragon Bridge
Han River and Hai Chau
The city centre on the west bank, with markets, local food and riverfront hotel towers.
Hai Chau is the city centre on the west bank of the Han River. Bach Dang, the riverfront road, is lined with hotel towers that look across to the Dragon Bridge and the Son Tra side. Han Market, Con Market, the Cham Museum and most local restaurants are a 5 to 15 minute walk away, and the airport is about 10 to 15 minutes by car. My Khe Beach is roughly 10 minutes by Grab across the bridges. This area suits one or two night stays, food-focused trips and travellers passing between Hue and Hoi An. The downside is that it is a working city: traffic noise, no beach at the door and fewer big pools. River-view rooms are the main reason to pay more here.

East bank towers
Best for families and views over the river and bay
Son Tra riverside
Large hotel towers on the east bank of the river and the bay shore, between the city and the beach.
The Son Tra riverside is the east bank of the Han River, from the Dragon Bridge north towards the bay. It sits between the city centre and My Khe, so both are a short Grab ride away, and the riverfront hotels are a walk from the Dragon Bridge. This is where some of Da Nang's biggest hotel towers stand, with large pools, gyms and kids' facilities, and many rooms look over the river, the bridges or the bay. It suits families who want on-site facilities and couples who care about the view. The catch is that the streets around some towers are quiet and spread out, with fewer restaurants in walking distance than An Thuong or Hai Chau, so you use Grab more.
Best hotels in Da Nang on My Khe and An Thuong

Most of the city’s beach hotels are towers on this road, so the sand is across the street rather than at the door. Swimming is usually best from about March to August. From October to December the waves can be rough and red flags are common, so check the lifeguard signs.
Budget: Rom Casa Hostel Da Nang
A hostel on An Thuong 4 street in the My An expat area, about five minutes on foot from the beach, with dorms and private rooms. Why this one: it puts a budget bed in the middle of the An Thuong cafe and bar lanes. Listings give different house numbers (47, 24 or lot 26), so use the map pin.
Budget: Sala Danang Beach Hotel
A hotel at 36-38 Lam Hoanh in Son Tra, one block back from the beach road. Why this one: you get an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar and a spa at a lower price band than the beachfront towers. Listings give walking times to the sand of anything from 3 to 19 minutes, so check the map before you book.
Mid-range: Four Points by Sheraton Danang
Our top choice for most people. Four Points by Sheraton Danang stands at 118-120 Vo Nguyen Giap, across the road from My Khe Beach. Why this one: it has a rooftop pool, an all-day restaurant and a spa, and the An Thuong restaurants are a short ride away. You get an international brand without resort prices.
Mid-range: HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa
A 22-floor hotel built in 2018 at 278 Vo Nguyen Giap, south of the An Thuong lanes, with beachfront room types. Why this one: the rooftop infinity pool and Sky Bar look over the city and the sea, and the spa is on site. It is a solid pick if you want a sea view at a mid-range price.
Mid-range: A La Carte Da Nang Beach
A 24-floor, all-suite hotel at 200 Vo Nguyen Giap, across the road from the beach. Why this one: suites have kitchenettes, which helps families and longer stays, and the rooftop infinity pool is the main draw. Reviews note that the rooftop is open to non-guests and can get busy.
Upper mid-range: Grand Tourane Hotel
A large hotel of about 188 rooms at 252 Vo Nguyen Giap, steps from My Khe. Why this one: it has two outdoor pools, a tennis court, a spa and a beachfront restaurant, so it suits families who want space and facilities in a hotel rather than a resort.
Upper mid-range: Le Sands Oceanfront Danang Hotel
A 106-room hotel at 28 Vo Nguyen Giap, at the quieter north end of the beach near Son Tra. Why this one: reviewers praise the sea views and the calm location, and it has a spa. The pool is small, and the centre is about 15 minutes by car, so it suits couples more than families.
Luxury: Radisson Hotel Danang
A 182-room hotel at 170 Vo Nguyen Giap that opened in 2022. Why this one: the Vivid Rooftop Bar & Pool on the 21st floor has an infinity pool with sea views, and the hotel has a spa and an executive lounge. Do not confuse it with Radisson RED Danang, a separate hotel at 90 Vo Nguyen Giap.
Our guide on where to stay in Da Nang compares this area with the others in more detail, and the best beaches in Vietnam guide puts My Khe in context.
Han River and Hai Chau hotels

Han Market, Con Market, the Cham Museum and most local restaurants are a 5 to 15 minute walk away, and the airport is about 10 to 15 minutes by car. The Dragon Bridge breathes fire and water at 9 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and on public holidays, according to Da Nang Fantasticity. From a riverfront hotel you can walk to the show and back.
Budget: Seahorse Han Market Da Nang Hostel by Haviland
A hostel with a small bar at 07 Nguyen Thai Hoc, about two minutes on foot from the river and three from Han Market. Why this one: it is a cheap bed in the most central spot in the city, with the Dragon Bridge a walk away rather than a Grab ride.
Budget: Sanouva Danang Hotel
A hotel at 68 Phan Chau Trinh, a few blocks back from the river. Why this one: it has an outdoor pool, a spa and free afternoon tea on the 17th floor at a low price band, according to guest reviews. In October 2026, Kayak listed standard rooms from about USD 13 a night; check the live price, as rates move. Some guides place it near the beach, but it is in the city centre.
Mid-range: Brilliant Hotel Danang
A hotel at 162 Bach Dang, on the river near Han Market and the Dragon Bridge. Why this one: the rooftop Brilliant Top Bar looks over the river and bridges, and the location is about as central as it gets. It suits a short, no-fuss city stay.
Mid-range: Haian Riverfront Hotel Da Nang
An 85-room hotel at 182 Bach Dang, on the riverfront road about 500 m from the Dragon Bridge. Why this one: it is smaller than the big river towers, with a pool and a spa, and the markets and street food are a short walk away.
Upper mid-range: Novotel Danang Premier Han River
A tall hotel tower at 36 Bach Dang, at the north end of the riverfront. Why this one: many rooms have river and city views, and it has an outdoor pool and a children’s pool. Listings disagree on its floor count, but all agree the upper floors give some of the best views in the city.
Luxury: Hilton Da Nang
A riverfront hotel at 50 Bach Dang, close to the Dragon Bridge and Han Market. Why this one: it has an outdoor pool, a children’s pool and The Sail, a rooftop restaurant and bar over the river. It suits travellers who want a luxury hotel with the city on the doorstep.
Luxury: Grand Mercure Danang
A 272-room hotel on Green Island, a small island in the river at the south end of Hai Chau, facing Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Why this one: it has an outdoor pool, a spa, a tennis court and Golden Dragon, a Chinese restaurant known for dim sum. It is quieter than Bach Dang, and the hotel has run a free shuttle to the centre and the beach; confirm it before you count on it.
Son Tra riverside hotels
The Son Tra riverside is the east bank of the Han River, from the Dragon Bridge north towards the bay. It sits between the city centre and My Khe, so both are a short Grab ride away, and the riverfront hotels are a walk from the Dragon Bridge. This is where some of Da Nang’s biggest hotel towers stand, with large pools, gyms and kids’ facilities, and many rooms look over the river, the bridges or the bay.
It suits families who want on-site facilities and couples who care about the view. The catch is that the streets around some towers are quiet and spread out, with fewer restaurants in walking distance than An Thuong or Hai Chau, so you use Grab more.
Budget: Wink Hotel Danang Riverside
A 357-room hotel at 351 Tran Hung Dao, on the river between the Han River Bridge and the Dragon Bridge. Why this one: rates sit at the low end of the city’s price range (Kayak listed rooms from about USD 19 a night in October 2026), yet it has indoor and outdoor pools and a 24-hour gym. Wink joined Hyatt’s Unscripted brand in January 2026, so some sites show the Hyatt name.
Mid-range: Wyndham Danang Golden Bay
A 949-room tower at 01 Le Van Duyet in Nai Hien Dong, on the bay shore north of the river. Why this one: it is known for its gold-plated fittings and a 29th-floor infinity pool over the bay, which the hotel calls the largest of its kind. It suits families who want a big hotel with plenty on site.
Luxury: Melia Vinpearl Danang Riverfront
A five-star hotel at 341 Tran Hung Dao, about 1.8 km from the Dragon Bridge, according to the official site. Why this one: it has an outdoor pool, a kids’ club, a spa and several restaurants and bars, plus family rooms. It is a strong family base with river views and a short ride to both the beach and the centre.
Son Tra peninsula
The forested peninsula north of the beach has almost no city hotels. The one big name is InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, a destination resort in its own bay, which we cover in our best resorts in Da Nang guide. Most visitors stay on My Khe and visit Son Tra for half a day by Grab.
Hotel, resort or apartment?
City hotels give you the most choice and the lowest prices, with restaurants close by. If you want a gated resort with wide beach frontage and gardens, look south to Non Nuoc, where Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa and Melia Danang Beach Resort sit on Truong Sa road, or to the Bac My An resorts such as Pullman and Furama. All of these are in our resorts guide.
For a kitchen, a washing machine or a month-long stay, an aparthotel usually works better than a hotel room; see Da Nang apartments and Airbnb. If Hoi An’s old town is the main reason for your trip, stay there instead; our best hotels in Hoi An guide covers it.

Plan your stay in Da Nang
Airport transfer. Da Nang International Airport (DAD) sits inside the city. It is roughly 3 to 4 km from the Dragon Bridge and Han Market and about 6.5 km from My Khe, according to Vinpearl’s airport guide; exact figures vary by source. Expect about 10 to 15 minutes to Hai Chau and 15 to 20 minutes to My Khe. The Vietnam Tourism guide gives Grab car fares of about 80,000 to 120,000 VND to the centre and 100,000 to 150,000 VND to My Khe, with metered taxis a little more.
Fares change with demand, so check the app. Flying in from the south? See our Saigon to Da Nang guide.
When prices peak. Rates are highest from June to August, when Vietnamese families take summer holidays, and around Tet (late January or February). The 2026 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival ran from 30 May to 11 July, according to Tuoi Tre News, and river-view rooms fill up on show nights. September to December is the rainy season, with storms most likely in October and November, so rates drop but beach days are less reliable. Check Vietnam weather by month before you book.
Getting around. Grab cars and motorbikes are the easiest way to move between areas, and short rides are cheap. Walking works well in An Thuong and along the river, less well in Son Tra.
Addresses. Da Nang merged with Quang Nam province on 1 July 2025, and old district names were replaced by wards (Viet Nam News). Booking sites mix old and new names, so check the street number and the map pin.
Day trips. The Marble Mountains are about 10 to 15 minutes south of My Khe by Grab, and Hoi An about 40 to 50 minutes; our Hoi An to Da Nang guide covers the transfer.

Which Da Nang beach hotels are closest to the sand?
Da Nang beach hotels closest to the sand are the towers on Vo Nguyen Giap, the beach road, such as Four Points by Sheraton Danang, Grand Tourane Hotel, HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa and Le Sands Oceanfront Danang Hotel. You still cross the road to reach the beach. For a gated resort on the sand, look at the Non Nuoc resorts instead.
Is it better to stay near the beach or the Han River in Da Nang?
Staying near the beach or the Han River in Da Nang depends on trip length. The beach suits stays of three nights or more and anyone who wants to swim. The Han River suits one or two nights, local food, the Dragon Bridge show and quick airport transfers.
What are the best budget hotels in Da Nang?
The best budget hotels in Da Nang on our list are Sala Danang Beach Hotel near My Khe, Sanouva Danang Hotel in the centre and Wink Hotel Danang Riverside on the east bank. All three have a pool.
